Walter Louis Caswell age 85 passed away Monday March 3rd at Florida Hospital-Ormond Memorial. He was born in Sharpsville Pennsylvania on December 28 1917. He worked for 30 years for the railroad Greenville Steel Car Company as a traffic manager until he retired and moved to this area in 1981.

A 27-year member of the Greenville Country Club he was also a member of The First Church of Christ Scientist of Boston Massachusetts and Ormond Beach Florida. He was the former mayor of Greenville Pennsylvania a member of the Lions Club and manager of the local ice rink all in Greenville PA. He was a former member of the Halifax River Yacht Club in Daytona Beach and was a long-standing member of Oceanside Country Club in Ormond Beach.

Walter enjoyed volunteering for the Sally Golf Tournament including announcing and car coordination. He loved the game of golf. He supported the Youth Golf Program of Volusia County and worked as a volunteer for the Senior Games as well as serving as the City of Ormond Beach Santa Claus.

Walter is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Margie Caswell Ormond Beach; two daughters Carolyn and son-in-law Kevin Brown of Pittsburgh PA and Cathryn and former son-in-law Richard Cucchiaro; and one granddaughter Erin.
