Wallace B.  Erb, Jr.

September 6, 1930 ~ December 1, 2021

Wallace B. Erb, Jr. passed away peacefully on December 1st, in Daytona Beach, surrounded by his loving family.

Wally was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on September 6, 1930 to Wallace and Avylene Erb. He married his wife, Barbara in 1955 and moved their family to the Daytona Beach area in 1966.

He proudly served in the United States Air Force and was a Veteran of the Korean War.

Wally was an avid offshore fisherman and proudly served as Chairman of the Greater Daytona Beach Striking Fish Tournament in the early 1980's.

Wally is predeceased by his brothers David and Bradley Erb as well as his sister, Jean Jennings. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Barbara, two daughters, Marcia Turner, and Valerie Durrance (Clay), and his brother Merle Erb. Wally was a wonderful "Papaw" to his three grandchildren, Jason Turner, Alyson Lentz (Carl), and Chad Durrance (Heather), as well as his eight great grandchildren Cole Durrance, Lake and Jamie Turner, Chase and Shelby Stewart, and Lainey, Emery, and Griffin Lentz.

The family would like to express their great appreciation to the Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as well as Halifax Hospice for the kind and compassionate care they provided for Wally.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
