Obituary

Virginia DareRicketts Prince of Daytona Beach and more recently St. Augustine died peacefully July 4 2009 at Flagler Hospital. She was surrounded by her loving family. Celebrating her 90th birthday in June with family and friends was a great joy for her. Visitation will be Thursday July 9 from 12:30-1:30 at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona with the service at 1:30 in the chapel and graveside services at 2:30. Born in Lutesville Missouri June 18 1919 she is the last daughter of six born to Reason and Mattie Ricketts to reach her heavenly home. Virginia known as ""Jyny"" by many in Daytona worked at Halifax Hospital in the insurance and medical records departments before retiring in 1981. Retirement offered her opportunity to be more involved with her church First Baptist Daytona. Her desire to write encouraging notes was how she became the ""Sunshine"" officer of the JOY Bible class. Her love for travel and going on cruises was realized with family and friends. She so much enjoyed having her family around her. Mom is survived by her three sons and daughter Rick (Marty) Prince Wayne (Debbie) Prince Fred Prince and Kathy Prince; grandchildren (P.J.) Wayne Prince Jr. (Jackie) and Melissa Prince. Flowers are gratefully accepted. The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff/employees on the ICCU and 4th floors of Flagler Hospital Community Hospice and the staff/employees at Coral Landing Assisted Living Facility. Your love for and attentive care to our Mom expresses your gift to us in her passing. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Daytona.
