Obituary

Virginia Rose Burson 87 formerly of Daytona Beach went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 23 2006 in Fairborn Ohio. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm Friday January 5 2007 at Daytona Memorial Park. Virginia was born on December 4 1919 to the late John and Ella Fox in Washburn West Virginia. She and her late husband William were married on February 14 1946 and lived and loved for 60 years until his passing on June 18 2006. After raising her family in East Liverpool Ohio she moved with her husband to Daytona Beach Florida in 1971. They became long-time members of White Chapel Church of God in Daytona were avid Gospel Music fans and were well known on the gospel circuit. Through the church and gospel music they made many life-long friends. Virginia and her husband each accumulated over 7 000 hours of volunteer service at Florida Health Care Center and were awarded the Points of Light Award by Governor Jeb Bush in October 2001. Virginia came to Grand Court Assisted Living in Dayton Ohio on June 3 2006 then went to Patriot Ridge Community Nursing Home on October 26 2006 where she remained until her passing. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Linda Massey and her children Mike Mark Matthew and Elizabeth; son William C. Burson Jr. and his wife Barbara and their children Lara William C. Burson III and Stephen; seven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made in Virginia's honor to White Chapel Church of God 1730 S. Ridgewood Ave. South Daytona FL 32119.
