A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Vincent S. Viscomi 67 of Ormond Beach FL who passed away unexpectedly on September 15 2009 will be at 10:00am Saturday September 19 2009 at St. Brendan Catholic Church 1000 Oceanshore Blvd Ormond Beach FL 32176 with entombment to follow at Daytona Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday September 18 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm with a Prayer Service at 7:30pm at St. Brendan Catholic Church. Born in Brooklyn NY on April 20 1942 to Salvatore & Ida Viscomi Vincent moved to the area in 1978 coming from Long Island NY. He was Vice President of Planning for ITT Community Development Corp. in Palm Coast for 18 years. He was the founder & President of Viscomi & Associates for 20 years which is a real estate development & consulting firm. He co-founded Viscomi Hansard Builders in 1996 which is responsible for building hundreds of residential homes in Volusia Flagler and St. John counties. He was a member of the Volusia Home Builders Association past president of St. Brendan's Parrish Council member of Fr. Lopez High School Board of Directors. He was also a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and was chairman of St. Brendan's Finance committee. He was a member of both Ormond Beach and Daytona Beach Chambers of Commerce and was involved in numerous civil and community projects which include the planning of City Sports recreational facilities and was a leader in fund raising for many charitable organizations. An avid golfer he helped design numerous golf courses including his most recent achievement the Grand Reserve & Golf Club in Flagler County. He was a graduate of Farmingdale State University in New York and received both a Bachelors Degree in Landscape Architecture and a Masters Degree in City Planning from the University of Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents Salvatore & Ida Viscomi and his father-in-law Marco Salvato. A devoted husband father grandfather and friend to many his passion was his family especially his two new grandchildren. He coached his families soccer teams baseball and softball teams. Survivors include his beloved wife of 42 years Anne Viscomi of Ormond Beach; his loving sons: Anthony V. of Ormond Beach Marc V. also of Ormond Beach Vincent P. (Dinah) of Miami FL and Paul V. (Sandra) of Ormond Beach; two brothers: Louis of Ormond Beach and Anthony of Dayton OH; and two precious grandchildren: Olivia Grace Viscomi and Nicholas Vincent Viscomi.
