Obituary

Vincent (Vinny) M. Romano of Daytona Beach, FL, formerly of Brooklyn and Long Island, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 31, with his wife Rosemarie and brother Bobby by his side. Vinny is survived by his best friend and devoted wife of 56 years, Rosemarie, brothers Bob (Bobby) Romano and Frank Romano, brother-in-law Peter and his wife Rose. Uncle of Angela Martone and her husband Steve, Gina Romano, Julie Grillo and her husband Chris, Kristin Russo, Alyson (Ally) Russo, Michael Romano and his wife Liz, Frank Romano Jr., and many grand nieces and nephews. He was loved by all who knew him, and his fun-loving humor and laughter will be missed by all his family and friends left behind.

Vinny served as an MP in the U.S. Army and had a long career in the construction and home improvement industry. He lived life energetically and wholeheartedly. He was a fishing, boating, pool playing and golf enthusiast. Second to spending time with his wife, Rosemarie and their many bouvier dogs, he enjoyed his home chef skills-cooking and serving Italian food and having a good laugh with family and friends. No matter what he was doing, Vinny always made the people around him feel good.

Honoring his wishes, there will be no memorial service at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a future date. The family asks that you remember Vinny with a big smile.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project at 4899 Belfort Rd Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
