Victor LaTorre, 88 of Ormond Beach, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 surrounded by his family and the caring staff of Signature Health Care of Ormond Beach and VITAS Hospice Services.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, JULY 13, 2013 at Oasis Church, 85 South Tymber Creek Road, Ormond Beach, Florida 32174. Following the service there will be a covered dish reception at the church. The family asks that you bring an Italian food or dessert to celebrate Victor's great heritage and life.

Victor was born on June 14, 1925 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Angelina Ragonesi and Joseph LaTorre. Victor was a talented singer. In his earlier years he traveled the country performing in two Broadway shows, several operas, and appeared on the Ted Mac Variety Show. He and his family relocated to the Ormond Beach area over 40 years ago. Later in life, he used his gift of singing in local Christian church congregations. Locally, he served at Sea Coast Cathedral Calvary Christian Church and Crossroads Calvary Chapel.

Victor was a humble forgiving man and a devoted servant to his faith family and others. He will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his beloved wife of almost 60 years Geraldine LaTorre; children Joseph (Linda) LaTorre Guy (Donna) LaTorre Philip (Laura) LaTorre Victoria (Michael) Kress; sister Victoria Coco; grandchildren Marc (Melinda) LaTorre Victor (Katie) LaTorre Christopher LaTorre Mia Kress; great grandchildren Brianna LaTorre and Adam LaTorre. He also leaves behind many extended family members and close friends.
