Veronica "Vera" France, 95, of Ormond Beach, passed away April 1, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11am at St Brendan Catholic Church, with Father James Queen officiating. The family will receive friends for a Visitation on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 4-7pm at St Brendan Catholic Church, 1000 Ocean Shore Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL 32176.

Vera was born February 13, 1920 in Baltimore, MD to Maximillan F. and Viola (Sobus) Czarski. She married Joseph M. France, Sr. on September 24, 1939 in Baltimore. They moved to the Daytona area in 1976.

Vera enjoyed cruises, gardening, and volunteering at Florida Hospital Memorial Thrift Shop. She donated in excess of 11,000 hours over a period of 33 years. Vera was also a member of the Florida Hospital Memorial Auxiliary. But most of all, she loved spending time with her cherished children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, to whom she was affectionately known as "Grams" and "GG".

Vera was predeceased by her husband, Joseph M. France, Sr. in 1994, and by her six siblings. She is survived by her two sons, Dr. Joseph M. France (Jane), Ormond Beach and Dr. Richard A. France (Josephine), Ormond Beach; by 6 grandchildren: David France (Lori), Sarasota, FL; Christopher France (Laura), Palatka, FL; Dr. Kristen Valliant (Sean), Mandeville, LA; Michael France (Lesley), Sarasota, FL; Dr. Karin Hilsabeck (Charles), Phoenix, AZ; Andrew McNerney (Cyndi), Ormond Beach; and by 13 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Vera's honor to St. Brendan School, 1000 Ocean Shore Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL 32176 (386)441-1331. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond.
