IN LOVING MEMORY OF VERNON E. SEIBERS

Today, we gather to celebrate the remarkable life of Vernon Seibers—a man whose legacy will long outlast the years he spent among us. Vernon lived a life marked by service, kindness, and enduring love for his family, friends, and community.

Vernon answered the call to serve his country with the First Infantry Division in the Army during the Vietnam War, a chapter that shaped his sense of duty and devotion. Yet, his greatest pride came from being a father to children His family, the heart of his world, blossomed over the years to include his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom he cherished deeply.

For two decades, Vernon shared a steadfast partnership with his beloved wife, Bunnie Seibers—ten of those years spent in marriage, all twenty built on love, respect, and laughter. Their bond was a testament to the kind of enduring affection that we all hope to find in our lives.

Among his friends and neighbors, Vernon was affectionately known as “the Chicken Man.” His home was a place of warmth and generosity, where no one ever left empty-handed—and certainly never without a dozen fresh eggs. His open-handed spirit extended far beyond his front door, touching everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.

Perhaps one of the most enduring images of Vernon is that of him riding his golf cart around the neighborhood, his grand dog Miley at his side and a joyful crew of passengers in tow. These small, everyday moments captured the happiness he spread and the simple joys he found in life’s journey.

Vernon’s legacy is one of kindness, laughter, and unwavering generosity—a legacy that lives on in every story, every memory, and every heart he touched. Though we mourn his passing, we celebrate a truly well-lived life. Vernon Seibers will be deeply missed, but his spirit will remain with us always.
