Vera G. Ames age 85 of Daytona Beach passed away in the company of her daughter on Sunday July 18 2010. A graveside memorial in her honor will be held at Daytona Memorial Park Cremation Garden.

Vera was born in Yugoslavia in 1925 she came to this country at the age of 13 settling in Syracuse NY. In her early years she worked as a secretary for Smith Corona where she met her husband and dedicated her life to her family and her mother. She enjoyed knitting crocheting and reading her bible but truly shined when she baked. Vera loved people and laughter her friendship was an inspiration her love a blessing. She was a proud member of Grace Baptist Church where she served and kept the faith. Grace was in all her steps heaven in her eyes in every gesture dignity and love.

Her beloved mother Marian Evans a son Frederick Gramp her first husband and father of her children; Donald Gramp her second husband Leslie Ames a brother Eugene Georgevich preceded her in death. Vera leaves behind to cherish her memory 2 sons; Gary Gramp and his wife Elaine Robert Gramp and his wife Lynn a daughter Mary Ellen Nostrand 10 grandchildren 3 great grandchildren and 2 sisters Eleanor Bartman and Nada Owens.
