Tressa Meixner, 95, of Ormond Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on November 15, 2014. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Daytona Memorial Park North, 1425 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114.Tressa was born on April 23, 1919 in Pine Ridge, Indiana to the late Elizabeth and John Kovacs. Locally Tressa worked at JM Fields Department store where she was a department manager for many years. She also helped her husband Victor run his building company. Tressa was a devoted wife and mother. She had a beautiful mind and quick witt about her that was truly unforgettable. Tressa enjoyed traveling especially the many trips she took to Las Vegas. She played Bingo, watched WWE Wrestling, and was an avid reader. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and John Kovacs; five siblings; husband, Victor William Meixner; children, Nicholas William Meixner, and Beverly Bateman. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Kathleen Thomas (Dave Thomas), Vicky Fox (Harvey Fox); seven grandchildren; four step grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many extended family members.
