Timothy L. Thomas Sr. of South Daytona passed away on October 18, 2013 at his home. Tim was born and raised in Port Orange and attended Mainland High School. Tim was self-employed as a Carpenter for over 40 years. He enjoyed his trade and loved sharing his skills with his friends and family. Tim knew no stranger, everyone was a friend, and he was the "Self-appointed Mayor of Lantern Park".
He will be remembered for his love of sports; the Miami Dolphins, Atlanta Braves, Orlando Magic, and the USF Bulls were his favorite teams. He was entertaining and larger than life and was a master of telling stories. He was very sharing and would help everyone. His time here was too short and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Timothy was preceded in death by his parents. Tim was a loving and devoted father and husband and is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years Carol Thomas, his loving children Amy Thomas and Timothy Lee Thomas, Jr. and his sister Theresa. Tim was also the loving "Poppi" to his granddaughter Lyra. He also leaves to mourn his loss many other family and friends and his three Jack Russell Terriers Chipper, Opey, Max and grand pug Laci.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday October 22, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 8:00pm at the Lohman Funeral Home Daytona, 1423 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, FL 32114.
