Timothy A. Martin 49, of Texarkana, TX, and formerly of Deltona, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2013, after a short battle with cancer. A memorial service in his honor will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, October 4, 2013. His family will receive guests from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lohman Funeral Home Deltona, 1681 Providence Blvd., Deltona, FL 32725.
Timothy was born April 26, 1964 to the late Charles F. Martin and Marion Martin, Deland. He graduated from Brunswick High in 1982. Timmy grew up in Bowdoinham, Maine where he excelled as a left handed pitcher in baseball. He attended Johnson & Wales in Rhode Island, and was an excellent cook. He was a cook for many years and became a painter and carpenter in adulthood. Timmy played the guitar and loved music and sports. Timmy was well known for his positive attitude, charm and ever present smile. Timmy was surrounded by many friends.
He is survived by two children, Timothy and Kelsie Martin, of Deltona; four sisters; a brother; a half-sister; 14 nieces and nephews; and nine great-nieces and nephews. Condolences for the family may be shared in this online guestbook.
