Obituary

It's with a heavy heart I announce that my Father, Timothy J Daly, past away after a year long battle with cancer.

Devote husband, and loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather; Tim was a beacon of warmth and witty humor to all that knew him.

Tim is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Carol; his sons Michael, Brian, and Timothy; his grandchildren Elizabeth, Johnathan, Shane, Makayla-Lynn, Timothy, and Addison; and his great granddaughters Olivia and Kinsley.

Second youngest of 5 children, Tim grew up on the Southside of Chicago. He became the first member of his family to go and graduate from college with his bachelor's degree and later also earned his Master's. Tim applied his education towards accounting in his first career at WTTW/Channel 11 where he met his future wife, Carol.

In 1983 Tim relocated his family to South Florida to start his second and final career in automotive accounting. His career took him from Chicago to Pompano Beach (Bill Daly's Nissan) to Atlanta, back to Fort Lauderdale, and finally finishing in Daytona Beach (Bruce Rossmeyer's Daytona Harley-Davidson). In his work everyone appreciate and respected him for his honesty, integrity, and work ethic.

In his personal life he enjoyed quiet evenings and weekends surrounded by his family while indulging in a cocktail and cigar by his pool. Tim was a devote practicing Catholic who believe in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to his dying moments.

Tim was no stranger to disappointment in his life as he was a Chicago White Sox and Bears fan. He had the Bulls in the 90's so I guess that kind of evens everything out….

Tim in his spare time was also an amateur explorer who, along with his co-pilot wench Carol, sailed the high seas of the Caribbean on many Norwegian and Royal Caribbean cruises. They explored many islands together looking for the ever elusive deal on duty-free alcohol, cigars, and jewelry. Yo Ho, Yo Ho, the balcony life for them….

A guiding light in my life has gone out and I will forever miss him. He was my role model and my biggest hero. I will miss you Papa Bear.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, August 3, 2024 at 8:30AM at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church located at 4675 South Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange, Florida 32129.
