Thomas "TJ" Trott, Jr.

Thomas "TJ" Trott, Jr., 57, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 with Lynda, his wife and love of his life for 29 years, by his side. He was born in Anniston, Alabama on February 3, 1960 to Thomas "Tom" and Betty "June" Trott.

For many years TJ was instrumental in the success of his family's business, Trott's Carpet, ultimately taking over the reins from his parents Tom and June upon their retirement. His fairness and integrity were well known in both the residential and commercial construction arenas. Never one for pretense, his easy going way and sense of humor endeared him to so many that he touched in the community.

His love of Alabama football was legendary and he also enjoyed fishing, golf and muscle cars.
In addition to his family, TJ will be remembered fondly by all of his friends at Riviera Country Club, where he was a longtime member.

He is survived by his wife Lynda Trott, son Kyle Trott, brother Shawn Trott (Tiffany), nephews Austin and Preston Trott, sister Pam Trott, nieces Sabrina and Crystal Trott, daughter Mellissa Camara (Jason) and grandchildren Logan and Dawson Camara. He is also survived by his aunt Jean Gammon and family; and his uncles: Donald Trott (Cindy), David Trott (Lisa) and Jerry Trott (Linda), John Trott, and aunts Vicki Treadway and Annette Trott. He was predeceased by his parents June and Tom Trott Sr. In addition, TJ is survived by his extended family that includes Patti and Keith Salts, Sherry and Casey Kilian, Carol and Kevin Kilian, Ci Ci and Mike Costello, Heather and Steve Gardner and Patty Miller. And, of course, the entire Trott's Carpet family.

For family and friends there will be a visitation on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond, 733 W. Granada Blvd, in Ormond Beach. On Saturday, November 4, 2017 Lohman's will host a celebration of life at 11:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Volusia Memorial Park, Ormond.
