Bill Sweeney 85 passed away Sunday 9/9/12 after a battle with cancer. Born in NYC 12/24/26. He was a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy and The Wharton School of Finance & Commerce. He was a mechanic on P-51's in the Army Air Corps. He owned and operated Sweeney & Bell Inc. an Insurance Brokerage business in NYC which he sold in 1973. He retired to the Wolfeboro NH area in 1973. He owned and operated C.M. Mixer Real Estate and Insurance Agency. He owned the Bittersweet Restaurant properties where "The Nick" and "Mountain West" are today. He served on theBoard of Directors of BankEast the Kingswood Golf Club NH Golf Association and was the Business Manager at Brewster Academy in the 1980's. He enjoyed volunteering at the Wright Museum in Wolfeboro NH.
He leaves his wife Joy of Daytona Beach FL and Wolfeboro NH her daughter Julie Anderson of Port Orange FL and family of husband Keith and children David Devon Diana and Delaney. He also leaves two daughters; PamBrezak of Berwick ME and family of husband Carl and children TJ and Kate and Leslie Cohen of Brooklyn NY and family of husband Clifford and children Aliza and Willis. A Celebration of his Life at the Kingswood Golf Club on Sunday September 30th in Wolfeboro NH at 4pm. NO FLOWERS PLEASE.
