Thomas E. Slye 64 of Ormond Beach FL passed away on March 20 2012. A Memorial Service will be held at 5-7 pm on Wednesday April 11 2012 in the Learning Center at Santa Maria Del Mar Catholic Church 915 N. Central Avenue Flagler Beach FL.

Thomas Slye was born on September 20 1947 in Boston MA to the late William and Marie Slye. He was raised in Brockton MA where he graduated from Cardinal Spellman High School.
He then attended Providence College and received his Bachelors degree in philosophy.

Thomas was a Veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Vietnam era.

He retired after 30 years as a clerk for the US Postal service in Brockton MA and moved to the Ormond Beach area 2 months ago to be closer to his family.

Thomas was a member of the APWU in Brockton MA.

He was an avid sports fan but it had to be his Boston teams. He also loved talk radio.

Survivors include his two sons Jason Slye of Ormond Beach FL and Jared Slye of Gainesville FL; his former wife and Good friend Virginia Slye-Cody of Flagler Beach FL; brother Joseph Slye of Raynham MA; niece Tracy Holland and her family; and longtime best friends Bobby and Winnie Alubicki of Brockton MA and his dear friend Jan Heger of Raynham MA.

Memorial Donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society 1620 S. Clyde Morris Blvd. Daytona Beach FL 32119.
