Thomas William
Rigerman
Jan 12, 1952 — Jun 2, 2022
Tom was Born in January 1952, in Medina, NY to the late Richard & Norma Rigerman. Sadly, Tom passed at home on June 2, 2022.
Growing up in a rural farming area in New York he learned the meaning of hard work early on. He began his maintenance career at GE/Black & Decker where he worked alongside a couple family members. He was also a pizza shop owner & volunteer firefighter. Tom moved to Florida where he worked at Microflex, Inc. for a total of over 30 years in maintenance where besides maintaining the machines he also helped fabricate and assemble them. At 70 years young and still loving his job Tom didn't know the meaning of the word retire, he was still working here part time. Tom was amazing at fixing and repairing just about anything but especially if it was electric/mechanized, even if he had to fabricate tools/parts to get things done (There may have been a few parts left over here or there but it always worked).
Tom enjoyed riding motorcycles, especially with family in tow and along side. While Tom could be wild and crazy, he was very grounded and knew family was important in life. He was the shirt off his back kinda guy, and if you were part of his tribe there was nothing he wouldn't do for you. You only ever had to ask. He was a nap after dinner, before bed kinda guy. He had a love of animals, especially dogs and of course they were all spoiled. He would say it was to keep Barbara company but we know who was really giving them the midnight ice cream snacks.
Tom was one in a million! He worked hard and lived everyday for his family. Tom was a very loving husband is missed deeply and survived by his wife Barbara; daughter Christa (Quinton); step-children, Gloria (Ed), Ron, Eddie & Tina (Curtis); brother David (Ruth), of Batavia, New York; brother Doug (Sheila), of Rochester, New York; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will be having a Celebration of Life at their home on July 16, 2022.
