Thomas Dean Rieck
Loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.
Thomas (Tom) Dean Rieck of Port Orange, FL passed away on June 20, 2022 at age 72 after a long courageous battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and pulmonary fibrosis. He was surrounded by his loved ones who will continue to strive to honor his memory by living their lives to the fullest.
Tom was born on December 10, 1949 in Mattoon IL. Tom is predeceased by his parents, Ace Watt, and Lola Mae and James Ronald Rieck, and his sister Sharon Daniels.
Tom proudly served his country by joining the US Marines at the young age of 17. During his military career, he served 33 months in Vietnam where he was awarded many medals including the bronze star and two Purple Heart medals. Upon returning home, Tom owned multiple businesses including a trucking company, construction company, marina, and a racing team.
In Toms spare time he loved riding his Harley, boating, RV'ing, traveling, and spending time with his family and his dog Cadie.
Tom is leaving behind his loving wife Diane, children, Brian (Amanda), Brenda (Jim), Tommy (Jennifer), Deneah (Anthony), and Kelli (Tom), brothers Ron, Ray, Mark, Mike, Wally, Joe, sister Paula, grandchildren (9), great-grandchildren (4), many nieces and nephews and wonderful friends.
Thomas will be interred in the Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia with Full Military Honors.
