Thomas G. (Tom) Percival, age 86, of "The Cloisters", passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 13, 2016.
A graveside service in his honor will be held on Friday, February 19, 11:00 AM at Deland Memorial Gardens, 600 Beresford Ave., Deland.
Tom was born in New York, NY, to Tom and Florence Percival and was a longtime resident of the Daytona Beach area. He was a Korean War Veteran with the United States Air Force and moved to Holly Hill, Florida, in 1954. Tom worked for General Electric during the Apollo program in the 1960's, later becoming a general contractor and home builder in the Ormond Beach and South Daytona area for many years. He enjoyed hobbies that included working on innovative electronic creations and practicing as an avid ham radio operator communicating with people from around the world.
Survivors include his sister, Claire Hull, his four children: Thomas G. Percival Jr. ( Deborah) , Steven Percival (Cathy), Patricia Cauduro, and Michael Percival (SongHwa): his grandchildren, Thomas G. Percival IV, Ashley Hankin, Jack Percival, Eileen Percival, Christina Cauduro and two great grandchildren, Madison and Avery.
Tom was predeceased by his beloved wife, Gloria. They were married for 60 years prior to her passing in 2011.
