Thomas McCormack age 94 of Holly Hill was called home to our Lord on Thursday December 29 2011.

A Memorial Mass in his honor will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church 600 S. Nova Rd. Ormond Beach at a later date he will be laid to as Sea.

Thomas was born on October 15 1917 in New York City to the late William and Mary McCormack. At the outbreak of WWII Thomas joined the United States Army Air Corp as a Pilot and served in WWII and the Korean War. He worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller and retired from the FAA Headquarters in Washington D.C. Thomas and his late wife Elizabeth came to the Daytona Beach area about 25 years ago and were parishioners of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. He was a devoted husband father grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed golf in his spare time.

Thomas is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years Elizabeth McCormack and leaves behind to cherish his memory his four sons Thomas McCormack Jr. James McCormack Patrick McCormack and his wife Judith and Daniel McCormack and his wife Carolyn; four grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
