Thomas "Popal" Mariani of Daytona Beach passed away peacefully at his home on September 18 2010 surrounded by his loving family. Thomas was 80 years old born in Charleston WV on March 7 1930 son to Harry Mariani and Edith Rowland Mariani. Left to cherish his memories is his wife of 60 years Betty Martin Mariani; his sons Thomas Allen Mariani of Loganville GA and Ricky Lee Mariani of Daytona Beach FL; his 4 daughters Teresa Herold of Port Orange FL Brenda Bush of Daytona Beach FL Sherry McKimm of Yulee FL and Lisa Kay Manger of Daytona Beach FL; his sister Betty Jane Martin of Bunnell FL; and ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Thomas celebrated his life with many close friends and adoring family and enjoyed his time with them all. He served in World War II in the Air Force; raised a family in Charleston WV then moved to Daytona Beach in 1977. "Popal" was a HERO to his family with his kindness and stern family values that his loved ones will cherish. "Popal" was head of the family and when he spoke ALL listened.
