Thomas J. Kimsey, 61, of Lake Helen passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017. He was born on September 24, 1955 in Peoria, IL to John and Helen Kimsey. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 12:00pm, Lohman Funeral Home Deland Chapel, 935 East New York Avenue, Deland. Family will receive friends from 11:00am to 12:00pm. A Burial will follow our Celebration of Life at Deland Memorial Gardens. Thomas loved taking rides on his motorcycle and loved jet skiing. He was an avid pool player, song writer and loved to play his guitar and sing karaoke. (King of the Road) He was a member of the Moose Lodge. Thomas was a wonderful husband and sole mate, provider and best friend to his wife, Flo. He treated her like a princess. He loved his grandchildren and made sure he was a part of their life and always proud of their accomplishments. He is survived by his loving wife, Flo Kimsey; son, Johnathan Kimsey; daughter, Heidi Blair; sister, Vicki Webb; brother, Bill (Diane) Kimsey; grandchildren, Christopher Wilder, Ashley Floyd, Rachel Boggs, Dyllon Kimsey, Trevin Kinsey; 5 great grandchildren and one in the oven. Numerous nieces and nephews and his dog, Tennessee."We Love Tennessee" He is preceded in death by his mother Helen Latham Kimsey and father John Kimsey Any donations would be appreciated to the Cancer Society and Kidney Society.
