Mr. Haynes was born in Sanford, Florida on December 12, 1939 to Estelle and Hobart Haynes.

Tom attended school in Daytona Beach where he graduated from Mainland High School in 1957.  He was very active in high school sports and was class president in his senior year.  He met and married his high school sweetheart Peggy and enjoyed 59 wonderful years of marriage. Tom and Peggy's family grew with the addition of their precious daughter Kim and their sweet son, Steve. Serving his country in the national guard for ten years was an honor and a privilege in Tom's life's, second only to a life of service to his Lord Jesus Christ. Tom's passion for sharing the love of God with others was evident in the way he lived his life at home, at work and in the community. He was co owner of Haynes Brothers Furniture for over 50 years and an active member of First Baptist Church of Daytona where he served faithfully in the bus ministry, on visitation teams, the building committee, Sunday school teacher, choir member and a part of the deacon body.

Tom is survived by his wife Peggy, daughter Kim(Wade), son Steve(Sharon), four grandchildren Jared(Sarah), Lauren(Chad), Jenna(Travis) and Heather(Matthew) as well as ten great grandchildren and brother, Doyle(Betty).

Our hearts are broken with the loss of our loving and faithful husband, devoted father and doting grandfather and great grandfather but we know he will be suffering no longer in this earthly body, enjoying an eternity singing praise to our precious Lord and waiting for the day we are together once again!
