Thomas W. Galbraith Jr., resident of Ormond Beach Fl, passed away on July 12, 2026, at the age of 79 following a brief illness. Tom was just one week shy of his 80th birthday.

Tom was born in Ossining, NY to Margaret and Thomas W. Galbraith Sr. Tom graduated from Croton High School and continued his studies at SUNY New Paltz (New Paltz, NY) until his employment with the New York Telephone Company. After 28 years, Tom retired from the company now known as Verizon, as a 2nd level manager. 

Fishing, both professionally and as a hobby, as well as golf, hunting, boating and cats, were just a few of his passions.

Susan, his wife and partner for over 48 years survives at home with their beloved feline, Ernie. Tom and Susan could often be seen with Susan’s sister, Nettie and her husband, Tiber. The foursome was inseparable and spent many vacations together and even followed each other from New York to Florida.

 Tom is also survived by his two daughters; Nanci Voss of Pine Bush, NY and Lisa (Roger) Loughran of Red Hook, NY and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; Stephanie (Michael) Baxter, Katie Ross, Michael Voss, Michael Jankowiak, Megan Jankowiak and Roger Loughran III. Michael Baxter and Kaylee Baxter.

Additionally, Tom is survived by his three siblings; Frederick (Patricia) Galbraith Sr., Beacon, NY, Diane (Ben) Vinci of Saugerties, NY, Mary (Mike) Carneiro of Southport, NC and many nieces and nephews and dear friends.

 A private celebration of life will be held in the fall.
