Obituary

DUNN, Thomas E., 93, of Jacksonville, Florida (formerly of Port Orange, Florida) passed away on June 18, 2016. He was born and raised in New Zealand and served in the Royal Navy during World War II as a pilot. He became a naturalized United States Citizen in 1949. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret (Peg) who passed away in 1978 and by his second wife, Sylvia, who passed away in 2004. He loved aviation and flew private aircraft for many years. He enjoyed travelling up until recent years and he loved photography and reading. He is survived by three brothers, Harold (Joan), Murray (Lois) and Max (June) all of New Zealand as well as numerous nieces and nephews in that country. He is also survived by his daughters, Suzanne Montalvo (Luis) of Jacksonville, FL, Margot Berg (Robert) of Newport News, VA, Michele Lignieres (Aristide) of Covington, LA, and Charlene Shannon (Michael) of Miami, FL , grandchildren Laura, Lisa, Allison, Michele, David, Peggy, Joseph T (JT), Jennifer, Rick, and John, and great grandchildren, Robbie, Noah, Ben, Olivia, Sam, Mason, Joey, Jacob and Mackenzie. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
