Theresa Murray-Schermerhorn 98 passed away peacefully on November 4 2009 with her family at her side. She was born on January 29 1911 in Springfield MA; spent her childhood in Valley Falls NY and lived at Cottage Street in Troy NY for most of her life. In her early 20's she met and married her late husband Daniel to whom she was married 45 years. After her first husband died Theresa married Robert Schermerhorn (now deceased) Her daughter Joanne T. Klee predeceased her in 1988. In 1992 Theresa relocated to Ormond Beach to be closer to her son and his family. She found delight in playing the piano singing and writing poetry. She celebrated each day and blessed many with her poetry and her love of life and laughter. She will be dearly missed by all who had the opportunity to know her. She is survived by her son Daniel (Patricia) Murray of Ormond Beach eight grandchildren nine great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. A memorial celebration of her life will be held on Saturday November 21st at 10:00 am at the Church of the Holy Child 1225 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach. Contributions may be made to the Christian Healing Center in lieu of Flowers.
