Thelma J Scott was born on January 20, 1945 in Port Lavaca, Texas to William Harvell and Bertha Livingston Harvell.  She enlisted in the US Army in 1973, and served in South Korea where she met David, also a soldier.  They married in 1974 and remained married until her passing.  Their only child, Stephen, was born in 1975.  Thelma graduated from Del Mar College with an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Development and from Texas A&M University (Corpus Christi) with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.  She worked in nursing homes and group homes in Texas and Florida as a Social Worker and Activity Director until her retirement.  She enjoyed motorcycling, sewing & quilting, gardening and reading.  She is survived by her husband, David Scott; Son, Stephen (Jodi) Scott; Brother, Clarence (Karen) Harvell, George (Donna) Haviland, Ron (Maggie) Scott, Dan (Laurie) Scott; Sister, Idell Kilgore, Lottie (Israel) Leiba, Lois Gardemal, Kelly (Eric) Johnstone; Sister in Law, Eileen Van Dyke, Kathy Rounds, Karolyn Scott; Brother in Law, Jeffery Scott; Niece & Grand Niece, Sammy Raven DeForest; Daughter in Law, Jennifer Kinnison and many nephews and nieces and their children.  Please share a memory with the family through our on line guest book.
