Thelma Jean Becker A longtime Resident of the Daytona Beach area passed away peacefully at the Hospice Care Center in Port Orange on Monday October 15 2007 at 9:45am. Mrs. Becker was born March 22 1930 in Flint Michigan. She moved to this area in 1967. She had homes in Harbor Oaks and Deland as well as Daytona Beach. Thelma was a member of the V.F.W. Post 1590 Auxiliary and had many good times with her friends there. She is survived by her son David Boyd and his wife Bonnie her grandchildren Sarah Boyd Keane Boyd and Jason Linn as well as her sister Betty Whitney of Michigan. A memorial Service for Thelma will be held Saturday October 20 2007 at 1:00pm in the chapel at Hospice Care Center Port Orange. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler 3800 Woodbriar Trail Port Orange Fl 32129.
