Terry Dees "DOO-DA - Heavy on the Doo and light on the Da," age 64, passed away after a courageous battle on Wednesday, March 4 2009.
A Graveside Funeral Service in his honor will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 9, at Daytona Memorial Park with Pastor Paul Pollack officiating. A visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, March 8, at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona.
Doo-Da was born to Leon and Inez Dees, graduated from Mainland High School in 1963, and worked as a master pipefitter for over 30 years. many of those years at Cape Canaveral. He was a proud Sgt. of Security Police in the US Air Force and member of the Union of Pipefitters Local 295. He enjoyed dancing, music, sports, especially the Miami Dolphins, fishing, and spending time with his family. He will best be remembered as the "Life of the party" and his playfulness and wit.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Jean Dees; his children, Tara (Billy) Watkins, Terry (Martha) Dees, Cindy Roberts, Julie (Kevin) Childress, Debbie Roberts; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Alan (Carolyn) Dees; and many other family and friends that dearly loved him.
