Obituary

Teresita A. Currier passed away peacefully on February 28th at Florida Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.  Teresita was a beloved wife for 42 year to William R. Currier.  Teresita left her native Philippines at the age of twenty one.  Daughter of deceased parents, Honorio Alicando and Guadalpe Alicando. Teresita was the beloved sister of Clarita, Reynaldo, Susan, Ernesto, Cynthia and David. Teresita is also the beloved sister-in-law of Laura, Jane and Mike.  She is survived by many nieces and nephews.  Teresita (also lovingly know as Tessie & Terry) loved her husband Bill and family and friends unconditionally.  Terry enjoyed life to the fullest, playing gold, pickle ball, walking and entertaining family and friends.  Terry met Bill at Mount Tom in Massachusetts accidentally when she was skiing with friends.  She fell on top of Bill and the rest is history.  Terry was known to her family and friends as compassionate and warm hearted and always took pride in her appearance. She would never leave the house without her earrings and matching outfit.  Prior to Teresita's retirement and recent move from Massachusetts to Florida, Teresita was an LPN at Mercy Hospital for 37 years. Terry was always a fighter even until her last breathe but the severe illness overtook her and she is now at peace. A "Catholic Prayer Service" will be held at Lohman Funeral Home, 1201 Dunlawton Avenue, Port Orange, FL.  on Thursday, March 8th, 2018, at 10:00 am with Father Christopher Hoffman. Condolences may be shared with the family through this online guestbook.
