Terence Edward Gilder age 95 of Orange City passed away on Wednesday February 8 2012 and the Hospice of Volusia Flagler Care Center in Orange City. A memorial service in his honor will be held at a later date contact the funeral home for more information. Terence a British gentleman was born in Bombay India to Edward R. and Kathleen M. Gilder. His early education was from his paternal grandmother; Sarah Robinson Gilder recipient of the Queen Victoria Medal for Education and later the Cathedral School in Bombay. He left his homeland for Bermuda and dedicated 8 years as the sports editor of "Mid Ocean News." After immigrating to Miami Florida he was employed at Chase Federal Savings and Loan as Internal Auditor until his retirement in 1972. This soft spoken non judgmental respectful romantic gentleman enjoyed traveling playing and following sports and charting the financial market. His parents a brother and a brother-in-law preceded him in death and he leaves behind his wife of 43 years: Laramie Adams Gilder 3 sisters in law: Carol (Stokely) Hays Geraldine (John) Petersmarka and Kathy (Dave) Klater 2 nieces and nephews and 4 great nieces and nephews.
