Sylvia "Chris" Roberts, 75, of Port Orange, Florida, passed from this life to be with the Lord on August 11, 2014. Sylvia is survived by her daughter Ryan and son-in-law Jason Sebastiani, and her granddaughter Riley.

Chris was born on August 21, 1938 to James Horace & Caroline Christopher in Spartanburg, South Carolina. By the 1960's she had found her way to the Daytona Beach area. She was instrumental in the recovery of countless alcoholics and addicts in the Volusia County area. Chris herself was an active member in the recovery community for 36 years and was referred to by her friends as one of the "First 100".

She was an association member of ARM & RWR as well as a member of The Living Cornerstone Church. Chris will be remembered for her strength, her devotion to Christ and consummate Southern Hospitality. She was passionate about her family, friends and cats. Chris will be missed greatly by all the lives she has helped as well as her family and friends.

A visitation is scheduled for Thursday August 14, 2014 from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona located at 1423 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida. The funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the interment to follow at Daytona Memorial Park.
