Sydney B. Armstrong 76 of Ormond Beach passed Monday March 31 2008 at her home with her family by her side. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday April 4 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Episcopal Church 216 Orange Avenue Daytona Beach with Father James D. Taylor officiating. Internment will follow at Daytona Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 PM until 8PM at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Beach. Sydney was born February 29 1932 in Endicott NY and graduated from Candor High School. She married Richard C. Armstrong September 26 1964 and the family moved to Ormond Beach in 1970. She worked for Dr. Roth in Ormond Beach retiring in 2004. She was a loving wife mother grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking for them. She also enjoyed playing the organ and gardening. She is survived by her husband of 43 years Richard; four daughters Hollie and Bruce Morehouse of Ormond Beach Sonya and Alfred Pileggi of Athens GA Ellie Smith of Ormond Beach Heather and Kevin Hudson of Ormond Beach; two step-daughters Elaine Mays of Locke NY Elicia Spencer of Ithaca NY; an uncle Earl Anderson and a cousin Peggy Rutledge; 10 grandchildren Richard Bruce Sara Stefanie Lisa Brittany Wade Bryan Chris and Katie; and four great grandchildren Joshua Rebekah Richard and Ethan.
