Susan Marie Kerr, 80, of Palm Coast, FL and previously of Riva, MD passed away peacefully Sunday, October 20, 2024 surrounded by her family. Susan was born on June 23, 1944 in Queens, New York to the late Joseph and Florence McKeon.  Susan was the loving, caring, and faithful wife of Thomas for 62 years.  Thomas and Susan met at a gas station at a young age - Susan was 15 and Thomas was 19. They married on December 29, 1962 and the life of a Navy wife began! Susan spent many years as a US Navy wife while her husband served on active duty with the Navy. She enjoyed Navy life with Thomas and travelled from coast to coast changing duty stations at least fifteen times. She endured many lonely months while Thomas was deployed on ships while on several tours in Vietnam caring for their children. When Thomas retired from the Navy they settled in Riva, MD where Susan worked as a Business Manager at Montgomery Wards and then at the Anne Arundel County Board of Education.  Susan and Thomas retired to Palm Coast in February 2005.  Susan described her husband as her best friend - she would always say "we grew up together".  Susan's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy and had immense love for each and every one of them.

Susan is survived by her loving husband, Thomas W. Kerr; daughter, Natalie Tull; son, Glenn Kerr (Sarah); daughter, Deborah LaBuwi; sisters, Myra LaBasso and Florence McKeon; grandchildren, Kaitlin, Tara, Kevin, Greg, Caroline, Ryan and Lily; great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Kaige; and other extended family and friends.  She is preceded in death by her brother, Joseph McKeon; sister, Maureen Harjes; and granddaughter, Abby.

There will be a time for viewing on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 1PM-3:30PM at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast Chapel, 220 Palm Coast Parkway SW, Palm Coast 32137.  Speaking and sharing of stories will begin at 3:00PM.
