Susan Lang, 72, passed away on January 6, 2025 in Daytona Beach, Florida. She was surrounded by family and friends.

Susan was born in Kokomo, Indiana in 1952 to James and Adelaide Kelley and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was active in school sports, a competitive broomballer, and a runner-up State Champion in doubles badminton. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Minnesota in 1974 and worked as an Account Executive at the public relations firm, Stevenson & Associates.

In 1978, Susan married Dan Lang in Minneapolis. She continued her career as an Account Executive at Burkholder Flint Associates in Columbus, Ohio and later moved to Chicago, Illinois. In 1982, they settled in Ormond Beach, Florida, where they became lifelong residents.

Susan was an ardent scholar of literature and the arts. She earned a Master's Degree in Humanities from Rollins College in 2009. She was a devoted volunteer and chorister at Grace Lutheran Church, an active contributor to her daughters' schools, and a beloved member of the community.

Sue was a force—a firecracker with a quick wit and a magnetic presence. She was brave and creative. She showed unwavering generosity, and she loved fiercely.

Susan is survived by her husband of 46 years, Dan Lang; her daughters, Kelley Eckert (Jay) and Katie Lang; grandchildren, Daniel and Grace Eckert; and her brother, John Kelley (Jane). She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard "Dick" Kelley (survived by his wife, Connie).

Susan will be laid to rest in the Garden of the Resurrection at Grace Lutheran Church, 338 Ocean Shore Blvd, Ormond Beach, Florida 32176. Services will be held on February 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
