Sue Ella (Jesse) Roberts 63 of South Daytona formally of Chicago IL and
Beckley WV was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday January
10 2012 at 11:05 pm. Ms Roberts fought a long courageous battle with breast cancer until the Lord called her home. Ms Roberts and her family were outstanding outspoken advocates for breast cancer awareness early detection and treatment. That tradition will live on through Sue's family. Sue was surrounded by her loving daughters when she passed at Port Orange Hospice Center. Sue Roberts was born on September 2 1948 in Iaeger West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Hamilton Jesse and late Josephine Lester Jesse of West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her mother father and beloved husband Darrell Roberts. Ms Roberts was a homemaker and devout follower of her Chrisian faith. She is survived by two wonderful daughters: Lolita Wolf of South Daytona Florida and Melinda Sue Hogue her fiance John Carroll of Ponce Inlet FL three grandchildren Sharissa Wolf and fiance Aaron West of South Daytona Florida and Kialey Hogue and Blaine Hogue of Ponce Inlet Florida. Also surviving are five sisters: Mrs. Lawson (Dellamae) Ball of Iaeger WV Mrs. Clifford (Gaynelle) Hardin of Nashville TN Mrs. Don (Charlotte) Levey of Beckley WV Connie Pappalardo of Knoxville TN and Mrs. Michael (Teresa) Anderson of Beckley WV as well as three brothers: Robert Jesse of Houston TX Billy Jesse of Pineville WV and Lonnie Jesse of Glen White WV. Sue grew up in West Virginia then moved to Chicago IL for 13 years then to Deltona FL in 1982. Sue eventually moved back to West Virginia to be with family after her husband passed. After her diagnosis she returned to Florida to be with her daughters for treatment. Her daughters made sure her years back in Florida were full of rich experiences. She went on her first cruise discovered how much she loved going out for a steak and how she was able to spend so much time with her grandchildren. Sue will be missed here on earth and welcomed in heaven. Her life will be celebrated at the Lohman Funeral Home in Port Orange Florida. Family and friends may visit on Monday January 16 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00pm. Funeral services will be on Tuesday January 17 2012 at 1:00 pm with the burial immediately following the service at Daytona Memorial Park 1425 Bellevue Ave Daytona Beach FL 32114.
