Stuart Forbes Conn 89 passed away Thursday January 21 2010 at his home. Stu was born in Flint Michigan and retired from Dart Industries. He was a deeply religious man- a believer in God-Family-and Country. He was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church the Halifax River Yacht Club Elks Lodge #1141 Halifax Historical Society Halifax Rowing Assoc. the Museum of Arts and Sciences and the Beachside Neighborhood Watch. Stu was preceded in death by his first wife Rose and is survived by his wife Shirley; his step-sons Ransom and Garth Galinat; step-grandchildren Sarah and Neil Galinat; and many cousins. Stu will also be missed by his dear friends Buzz and Marcia Howe and family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 6th at 2pm in St. Mary's Episcopal Church 216 Orange Ave officiated by Father James Taylor. A reception in the church hall will follow the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Vitas Hospice 5430 NW Avenue Ste. 106 Ft Lauderdale FL 33309.
