Obituary

Steven "Steve" Edward Queen, 58, of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away on October 28 th after a serious bout of pneumonia.

Steve was born on November 1 st , 1962, to Larry Queen and Geraldine "Dean" Cook Trull in Robbinsville, North Carolina. He was the oldest sibling to his sisters Rhonda Braswell and Stephanie Burgess.

After moving to Florida, Steve met his wife Barbara Queen and stepdaughter Amanda Stapleton. Steve and Barb wed in 1988, and went on to have two children, Megan Queen-Kennedy, and Austin Queen.

Steve was a butcher at Publix Supermarket and anyone who knew him always looked forward to chatting with him during their trip to the store. He was known by all to be a friendly, laidback, and kind man with a good sense of humor.

Steve was a hard worker, determined to provide for his family and always tried his best to support them. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, and he was unendingly proud of his children and grandchildren.

Anyone who knew Steve knew that he was the most loving father and husband. He was also known as the best brother, uncle, son, and grandson a family could ask for. He was a man of the mountains, a proud American, and a devout Christian. His soul rests in peace now with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

With Jesus by his side, Steve was greeted in heaven by his mother Dean Trull, his grandparents Edward and Wilma Mae Queen and Austin and Winnie Cook, and his uncles, Kenneth Morris Cook and William "Billy Ed" Queen. He is greatly missed by his wife Barbara Queen, his children Amanda (Corey) Stapleton, Megan (Ronnie) Queen-Kennedy, and Austin Queen, his father Larry (Celia) Queen, his sisters Rhonda (David) Braswell and Stephanie (Ryan) Burgess, his five grandchildren and extended family and friends.
