Steven Kent Allen, beloved husband and father, died on January 29, 2022, surrounded by his family, in South Daytona, FL.
A leap year baby and a twin, Steve was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to parents William and Barbara Allen. Steve enlisted in the Air Force at 18 years old and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He went on to achieve the rank of chief master sergeant, the highest rank for enlisted members. During his 30 year military career, Steve had the opportunity to live all over the world, including Japan, Germany, and Holland.
Steve received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and Masters in Business Administration from St. Martin's College. Known for his sense of humor, Steve kept his friends laughing, whether on the golf course, disc golf course, or fishing boat. As a well-loved and charismatic leader, Steve became the president of the Sea Breeze Daytona Beach Kiwanis Club and was active on the condo board at Halifax Landing. In fact, he met his wife Bonnie at a class at the library for condo board certification.
Steven is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie, his children and their spouses, Daniel and Miranda Allen of Lexington, SC., Benjamin and Kaitlin Allen of Silver Spring, MD., Michael and Jennifer Walker of Jacksonville, Fl., Christine and John Stevenson of Ponce Inlet, Fl., Kari and Andrew Ruiz of Port Orange, Fl., Katrina and John Kolb of Titusville, Fl., his grandchildren, Willow, Remington, Johnathan, Hannah, Michael Jr, Brookes, Chris, Gabriel, AJ, Aaron, Aloysius, Zsirtorian as well as his twin brother Bill and sister-in-law Patricia Allen of Daytona Beach, Fl.
Steven is predeceased by his brother Richard Allen and late wife Brigitte Allen.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, February 2nd at 1pm, at Tomoka Christian Church, 1450 Hand Ave, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. Flowers may be sent to the address above, or, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Steven's name to the following organizations:
