Steve Pettenger, 63, of Ormond Beach, Florida, was born on May 16, 1959, and passed away peacefully surrounded by his close family, on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Halifax Hospice in Ormond Beach. Steve was born in Dixon, Illinois to James Pettenger (wife Rosalie Pettenger) and Dolores John (husband LaVerne John).

Everyone who knew Steve knew that he spent all of this time with his family, or riding his motorcycles, boating, camping, or doing handyman work for his entire family. He was always busy doing something.

Steve's survivors include his wife of 34 years, Lynn Pettenger. From their life together they had 2 children, their son Brad Pettenger, married to MiKenzi Pettenger; their daughter Kaley Pettenger and her boyfriend Tucker Maletta; his sister Gay Pavey (husband Ed Pavey); brother James Pettenger (wife Dedith Pettenger); their daughter Brandi Pettenger; half-brother Ryan Pettenger (fiancée Lisa Degelau); and stepsister Lauri John.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at the Forever Ranch, located at 3600 SR 40 in Ormond Beach, Florida, starting at 12:00 pm. No fancy attire permitted, Steve wouldn't want that.
