Steve fell asleep in The Lord on Sunday July 13, 2014 at the age of 80. Steve (Stavros John Papastavros) was born November 7, 1934 in a beautiful village, Kamenitsa, Greece. He was one of eight siblings born during a turbulent time in Greek history. Steve, along with several of his brothers and sisters immigrated to America at an early age in search of a better life for themselves and their families. Steve was committed to hard work. He worked his entire life in the restaurant business.

Alongside his brother and sister in law Chris and Soula Pappas, Steve worked at Pappas Drive Inn and Restaurant in New Smyrna Beach for nearly forty years. Steve lived in New Smyrna Beach and was a parishioner of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church.

Steve is survived by his wife Tatiana, two children Fotene and John, his brothers Chris (Soula) Pappas, Connie (Bessie) Pappas, sisters Basiliki Aggelopoulos, Maria Gregory, Afrodite (Demetri) Antipas and Irene Stefanou. He has been blessed with several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 17th from 2-4 pm with a funeral service at 4:00 pm at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond, 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach.
