Obituary

Steven Craig Norder (age 48) died August 2, 2015. Steve was born in Burlington, Iowa in 1966, the second child of Gary and Toni Norder. Steve leaves behind two loving daughters Kiri of Daytona Beach, Lakasha of Holly Hill, his fiance' Arleen Redmond of Holly Hill and her daughter Bailey, Mother Toni, brother Jeff (Josita) of Ormond Beach, Three grandchildren Lukas, Abigail and Gabe, Nephew Jeffrey (Traci), niece Hannah as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and his beloved cat Beautiful. Steve is predeceased by his Father Gary, Uncle Mark, his maternal grandparents Harold and Erna, and Paternal grandparents William and Gladys.

Steve moved to the Daytona Beach area in 1983. He was a longtime employee of Carter Electric where he graduated at the top of his apprenticeship class along with his good friend Josh. He was currently employed at Sea Ray Boats as an electrician. Steve took pride in the work that he did and valued the friendship of the people he worked with.

Steve was artistic and enjoyed using his talents making things around the house, especially woodworking projects. He was often on the hunt for bargains and treasures that he could incorporate into his projects or repurpose into something useful or decorative when he wasn't puttering with his classic Chevy truck. Steve loved cruising the back roads and the scenic loop on his motorcycle or getting out on the kayaks exploring the waterways. Steve enjoyed traveling and especially cruises with Arleen. He had an obsession with all things related to ducks which he graciously gifted to his brother every Christmas much to the chagrin of his sister-in-law. Family gatherings were a favorite time for him, a chance to visit, tell stories, and laugh. Steve was a generous and sensitive person. His family will always cherish the memories of Steve's sense of humor, quick wit and the goofy expressions that went with them, especially when he was teasing the kids or grandkids. His laughter would fill the room at every family gathering.

The family will be receiving friends at the Lohman Funeral Home in Daytona Beach on Thursday August 13th from 5PM until 8PM.

There will be a private graveside service for the family at a future date. In lieu of flowers the family has set up a Gofundme account for Steve's three grandchildren. http://www.gofundme.com/steve_norder.
