Steve Kasey 63 passed away on August 20th 2009 surrounded by his loving family after spending his life as a devoted and dedicated husband father and grandfather. He was born in Roanoke VA on October 5th 1945. After serving many years as salesman in the railroad and coal industries Steve and his wife Judy relocated to Port Orange in 1985 where he began a long career in the flooring business. He will be most remembered for his love of family and business proficiency. A born leader he was a pillar of strength and solidarity in both his personal and professional life. His innate ability to make acquaintances feel like an old friend is a quality that was admired by so many. He had an affinity for political banter and loved to escape to the outdoors. He led a full life and savored every moment shared with those he loved. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Judy Sanders Kasey his son Michael Kasey (Kristie) his daughter Karie Kasey Cappiello (Brian) his stepson Darren Schmidt (Corey) his five grandchildren Maddy Jake Ellie Morgan and Marisa his brother Jerry Kasey and his sister Susan Richardson. A visitation will be held on Tuesday August 25th 2009 at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange 1201 Dunlawton Ave from 5pm to 7pm. His life will be celebrated in a memorial service held on August 26th 2009 at 11am at Lohman Funeral Home in Port Orange.
