Funeral Service for Stephen P. Skillern 37 will he held on Saturday morning at 11:00am in the chapel of Baggett & Summers Funeral Home. His family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 till 8:00pm.
Born in Lawrenceburg TN. Stephen lived in this area from 1973 till 1991. He graduated Mainland HS and played football baseball and soccer. Stephen proudly served his county in the U.S. Navy from 1991 to 1993 on the Westpac Tour specializing in electronics repair. After an honorable discharge from the Navy he lived in San Diego for 2 years and then relocated to Austell GA where he was a loan officer for Hewlett-Packard. He enjoyed sports and was the coach of the little league baseball Riverside Yankees in Atlanta GA where he was also very active in raising money for several charitable groups.
He was the son of the late. Paul W. Skillern and is survived by his mother Freeda Skillern of Port Orange 2 brothers; Sean and his wife Linda of Lakeland FL. Scott and his wife Amanda of Sierra Vista AZ. his sister Sandy Skillern-Brunick of Port Orange 6 nieces and nephews; Jordan Hunter Olivia Tyler Sophia and Ryan. Also surviving is Stephen?s longtime friend and companion Leah Ann Pint of Austell GA.
