Stephen N. Rowell 71 a quiet reserved loving husband father grandfather brother and friend of Port Orange Florida passed away on June 6 2010. Services will be private. He was born in Theresa New York and worked as an Civil Engineer for the Department of Transportation until his retirement in 1995. He then relocated to Florida to enjoy his retirement with his loving wife Joan to whom he was married to for 20 years. He was a member of a local bowling league in South Daytona for many years and also enjoyed spending time on the golf course. Most of his spare time was spent either working diligently on the New York Times crossword puzzle or tending to his vegetable and flower gardens. His greatest passion however was his family especially his daughters. He will be truly missed by all who had the opportunity to know him. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Joan; daughters Molly Anderson of Baldwinsville NY Stephie (Jamie) Sasenburg of Fayetteville NY; step-daughter Mary (Rick) Soluri; sons Stephen (Katie) Rowell of Watertown NY Dan Rowell of Watertown NY; mother Frieda Rowell of Dexter New York; sisters Molly (Bob) Hall of Dexter NY Penelope (James) Ford of Fort Myers FL Jacque (Pierre) Sutxer of Avully Switzerland and seven grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made in his name to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler Port Orange FL.
