Stephen was born and raised in Queens, New York and attended a RCA institute training course. He proudly served his country as an Army reservist in the late 1960's. He began his carrier with the New York City Transit Authority in 1966. He retired as substation maintainer and Inspector for the subway system. After his retirement in 1987, he and wife Luz Nicastro moved to Palm Coast, Fl where they remained for the duration of their time here with us. Luz passed away in March 2016.
Stephen enjoyed the simple things in life such as a good novel, fishing, taking care of his home and enjoying a good movie. He kept his mind and body active with his reading, learning Spanish and his beloved crossword puzzles and Jumbles. He was physically active with weight training and bicycle riding. Above all he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Stephen J Nicastro will be dearly missed.
