Stephen Joseph Kozman 86 of Palm Coast Florida passed away on July 14 2012.Visitation will be held July 18 2012 from 3 - 6 pm at the Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast 220 Palm Coast Parkway SW Palm Coast. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday July 19 2012 at 1:00 PM at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Interment will be July 20 2012 at Florida National Cemetery Bushnell Florida. Stephen was born and raised in New York NY. He attended and graduated from Columbus Technical School and then NYU with his BME. He joined the United States Navy serving as a Fireman first Class USNR in WW II. During his service he was awarded the Purple Heart. After discharge Stephen worked for Foster Wheeler Livingston NJ. He relocated to Florida in 1973 and was employed by Davy-Power Gas as an Engineer. He was later employed by the State of Florida as an Aviation Engineer. He quickly became a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Stephen was also proud member of the VFW Tin Can Sailors American Legion and past President of the Professional Engineering Association. Stephen also worked as the cashier for the VFW Bingo. He was a loving man who will be sorely missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. Stephen was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years Rose in 2002. He is survived by son Terry Whitenack of CA daughter Joanne Nance of FL Brother Eddie Kozman of FL Sisters Juliana Kozman of PA and Ann Michalcik of FL. Stephen was also the loving grandfather of 2 grandsons Scott Nance and Chris Whitenack.
