Stephen Joseph Chopek III 64 of Port Orange passed away peacefully on Saturday June 22 2013.A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 P.M. today Tuesday June 25 2013 at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange. The family will receive friends for a gathering thirty minutes prior to the service.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M on Saturday June 29 2013 at Shannon Rocap Funeral Home in Milliville New Jersey 24 N. 2nd Street 08332.

He will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery with military honors at a later date.

Stephen was born on August 19 1948 in Milliville New Jersey to the late Edna (Tozer) and John W. Chopek. Stephen served proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and received a Purple Heart for his faithful service. He received his Bachelor's Degree from University of Central Florida in 2006.

Locally Stephen own and operated C&O Construction in Port Orange area for many years. He was a member of the South Daytona Lions Club D.A.V. and Honey Pots Men's Golf League. He loved spending time with this family especially his grandchildren golf and restoring classic cars.

Survivors include wife Carol D. Orrell-Chopek; son Stephen J. (Leah) Chopek IV; daughter Stephanie H. Chopek step-daughter Julie Ann Hutchinson; step-son Brent Robert Orrell; grandchildren Stephen Noah Nathan Skylar; step-grandchildren Faith Izabelle Macie Eden and Austen Michael. He also leaves behind many extended family member and close friends.
