Stacie Minor, 53, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away on September 10, 2026.  She was the beloved daughter of Thomas and Sharon Penkowski and a cherished mother, daughter, sister, physician, and friend.  

Stacie earned her Bachelor of Science degree from John Carroll University before continuing her education at The Ohio State University Medical School, where she earned her Doctor of Medicine degree.  Her dedication to medicine reflected her intelligence, compassion, and genuine desire to help others.

Above all, Stacie was a devoted mother who treasured her three children, Skylar Minor, Stiles Minor, and Summer Minor.  Her children were a source of tremendous love and pride, and the bond she shared with them will remain one of her most enduring legacies.  

Stacie is survived by her parents, Thomas and Sharon Penkowski; her children, Skylar, Stiles, and Summer Minor; and her siblings, Lisa Stronsick and Ryan Penkowski, along with extended family and many friends who loved her dearly.

Stacie had a curious mind and a love of learning that extended well beyond her professional life.  She enjoyed reading and working on puzzles, and she had a special fascination with marine life, particularly dolphins.  She found joy in studying and learning about these remarkable creatures and the world around her.

Stacie found comfort and guidance in the Serenity Prayer, which held special meaning for her:

"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,  The courage to change the things I can, And the wisdom to know the difference."

These words beautifully reflect the strength, faith, and perspective that Stacie carried with her throughout her life.  Her favorite flower was the Sun Flower.

Stacie will be remembered for her intelligence, compassion, curiosity, and most of all, her love for her family. She touched many lives through her work as a physician and through the kindness and love she shared with those around her. 

Though her life was far too short, the memories she created and the love she gave will remain forever in the hearts of her children, family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She will be deeply loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.
